French Chateau - Wilton, CT

After renovating and furnishing a home in the Côte Azur France for these lovely people a decision was made to build a new home in CT for them utilizing many antique elements we found together and purchased in France. We found a piece of beautiful piece of hilltop land on a reservoir. I designed a 14,000 square foot house and before starting the client and I went off on a shopping trip to find fireplaces, antique doors, special windows and architectural elements to incorporate into the design. We furnished all the required drawings for building purposes including permitting and supervised the construction. I designed and supplied all of the custom cabinetry and millwork. After completion of the structure I designed and purchased most of the furnishings incorporating many of their own pieces as well. Some of the furniture which was not antique was designed specifically for the location as well.
